Dr. Milagros Ariza
Truly a community physician, Dr. Ariza has cared for children and families in Washington, DC’s West End for over two decades, working closely with both English- and Spanish-speaking communities.
Dr. Ariza completed her pediatric residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine–Beth Israel Medical Center in 1995. She then moved to Washington, DC, where she worked in the Neonatology Department at Sibley Memorial Hospital before establishing her private practice.
A dedicated child advocate and lifelong supporter of the LGBTQ+ community, Dr. Ariza is a Board-Certified Pediatrician and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She serves as faculty at the George Washington University School of Medicine and was honored with the Best Community Pediatrician Award in 2019 in recognition of her outstanding commitment to teaching and mentoring medical students.
Dr. Ariza has been featured in multiple Washington, DC–area publications as a Top Washingtonian Physician and has been recognized by Castle Connolly for excellence in pediatric care. In addition to her work in DC, she leads a nonprofit organization in the Dominican Republic dedicated to providing medical care to children with rheumatologic illnesses.
Nichole M. Riehm, FNP, BC
Nichole is a New York native who recently relocated to the Washington, DC area. Nichole graduated from University of Mount Saint Vincent with a bachelor’s degree in nursing and earned her master’s degree in nursing from Mercy University. Nichole brings nearly a decade of experience as a registered nurse, having worked in maternity caring for new mothers and their newborns. Before joining West End Pediatrics, Nichole worked as a nurse practitioner in a pediatric office in New York. Outside of work, Nichole loves to travel and spend quality time with her family and friends.
Elizabeth Schaubert, MSN, CPNP-PC
Elizabeth is a Washington, DC native who moved back after attending Duke University in North Carolina for her undergraduate and nursing programs. She worked for several years at Children’s National Hospital in hematology/oncology and then attended Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, for her master’s degree. She specializes in the care of children from international backgrounds and speaks Spanish fluently as a result of her travels and education.
During her free time, Elizabeth spends as much as she can with her husband, two young daughters and her friends, and enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants and spending time outside when it’s nice out.
